Manual Therapy

This programme is taught in English.

Manual Therapy refers to the diagnostic and therapeutic process regarding the impairments related to the functioning of the musculoskeletal system. This is completed by the evaluation of the possibly resulting disabilities and participation problems. Due to the fact that all participants have a profound preliminary background in the field of rehabilitation science and especially in the methodology of Manual Musculoskeletal Therapy this course focusses on two major learning trajectories.

Within the learning trajectory on ‘Biomedical Sciences’ the main focus is on exact sciences:

Advanced Anatomy including dissection practices, Advanced Biomechanics including Arthrokinematics and Medical Imaging focus to explore the musculoskeletal system in detail. The trajectory ‘Scientific thinking and research’ includes courses on applied research methodologies and statistics for Musculoskeletal Research. It also includes the master thesis which covers an experimental research within the field of Manual Therapy presented in a paper ready to be published in some of the highest rated journals within the field.
